Pope John Paul II

Dec 8, 05:45 PM

Pope John Paul II born Karol Józef Wojtyła (18 May 1920 – 2 April 2005) served as Supreme Pontiff of the Catholic Church and Sovereign of Vatican City from 16 October 1978 until his death almost 27 years later. His was the second-longest pontificate; only Pope Pius IX served longer. He has been the only Polish Pope to date, and was the first non-Italian Pope since Dutch Pope Adrian VI in the 1520s.

John Paul II has been widely acclaimed as one of the most influential leaders of the twentieth century. It is widely agreed that he was instrumental in ending communism in his native Poland and eventually all of Europe as well as significantly improving the Catholic Church’s relations with Judaism, the Eastern Orthodox Church, and the Anglican Communion. Though criticized for his opposition to contraception and the ordination of women, as well as his support for the Second Vatican Council and its reform of the Liturgy, he has also been praised for his firm, orthodox Catholic stances in these areas. He beatified 1,340 people and canonized 483 Saints, more than the combined tally of his predecessors during the last five centuries.

Once again, the mormons are baptizing people that they had specifically promised not to baptize. (And once again, they get caught while their white robes are still drying.) They baptized the pontiff back in 2006, 4 times, at the earliest date possible, according to their rules. Those records were hidden. But it seems that someone can’t leave well enough alone. It’s probably pointless to expend a lot of vitriol in this blog about the insanity of usurping the faith of a famous world religious leader. They’ve done it before, and they will do it again.

  1. Has the temple work been done for Muhammad?

  2. Oh, sure. But his records aren’t available to hopeless apostates, such as yourself.

    Seriously, the records are hidden.

  3. Why do they have to dead-dunk him multiple times?

Or do they just like to spread the joy?

Is it because Pope John Paul II keeps refusing their gospel and they figure they will just wear him down? Kinda like having the missionaries constantly knocking on your door needling you to join up?

Multiple necro-dunking and nagging is the way into accepting Mormondumb?

  4. Even Mohammed’s temple work was done????? Good grief! Just goes to show how the church has so little respect for other religions!

  5. Is there no way to stop these people? This makes me sick.

  6. Under the old system it was mot unusual to have duplicate ordinances. When fully implemented, the new system should prevent this from happening. There will also be greater controls on submissions where the church can do a better job of preventing ordinances.

  7. cdowis,
It’s been less than a month since you asserted that the new system will prevent this from happening, and another member, from Spain, has submitted the Pope and reserved the ordinances for himself. I see no evidence that the new system is preventing duplicates.
